The functional characterization of proteins is especially challenging because proteins have flexible structures, transiently existing in a continuum of structural and functional states. SeraFILE™ - ProFACT Proteomics' surface library and associated separations protocols, uniquely differentiates and compartmentalizes the functional characteristics of proteomes.  From these derivative sub-proteomes, molecular profiles can be generated to make connections to functional mechanisms, small molecule modulation and gene expression.
