The operating team consists of David Golub, Matthew Kuruc, and Dr. Swapan Roy. They, along with co-founder Dr. John Krupey (retired) have proven performance in commercialization of biotechnology research products. Including past business ventures, this team has conceived, developed and manufactured consumable research products that have generated over $1.5M in aggregate revenues. One of these products (ProCipitate) was an integral part of the Human Genome Sequencing project now completed.
David Golub

Mr. Golub served as President and CEO of LigoTech,Inc. from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Golub has overseen transactions in early-stage medical technology, biotechnology, environmental remediation, internet, telecommunications and software companies as consulting manager of Seattle-based American Paradigm Corp. From 1987-1992, he served as Senior Associate at a corporate acquisition partnership with GE Capital.

Matthew P. Kuruc
Co-founder, Director, President & COO.
Mr. Kuruc is a serial entrepreneur, starting as a co-founder of Affinity Technology Inc., where he was President from 1990 until 1996 . After it was acquired by LigoTech, Inc., he held an executive business development role until becoming a co-founder of ProFACT Proteomics in 2004. From 1987 to 1990 he held various marketing and sales positions with Amicon Division of W. R. Grace & Co. (now Millipore), and prior to that, product and sales positions with industrial separations equipment suppliers. Mr. Kuruc earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University.

Swapan Roy, Ph.D.
Co-founder, Director, Chief Scientific Officer.
Dr. Roy is the principal investigator and visionary behind the ProFACT separations chemistries. He has broad experience in engineering matrices for bioseparations, and bioprocess purification. At Hoffman La Roche from 1969 to 1996, he worked as Senior Research Investigator on PEG protein modification, and separation of proteins used in cancer therapy (e.g., interferons, interleukins and cell growth factors). Dr. Roy's company, Biotech Support Group, LLC is an investor in ProFACT as well as a licensor for its consumables. Dr. Roy received his Ph.D. from Calcutta University.

Amita Oka, Ph.D. - Senior Research Scientist

Amita Oka, a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Rutgers University, was awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship Grant from The New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology to continue her cross-disciplinary research in Genomics and Proteomics. In addition to supporting ProFACT’s functional proteomics programs in healthcare applications, Dr Oka’s work will support Microbiologists, establishing proteomic markers to identify particular functioning microorganism(s) among a constellation of microbes, for industrial and environmental utility.

Pronoy K. Chatterjee, Ph.D.
Director.
Dr. P. K. Chatterjee is a widely recognized expert in health care hygiene products. Awarded 50 US patents, he is the author of 90 scientific publications and two books on adsorbent materials science. He held management positions at Johnson & Johnson for twenty-seven years. Since 1994, he has consulted for corporations throughout North America and Europe, and with United Nations projects in Asia and Central America. Dr. Chatterjee earned Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in Cellulose/Polymer Science from Calcutta University and did postdoctoral research at Princeton University and USDA.
John Krupey:

Dr. Krupey is the inventor and principal investigator of the polymer adsorbent technologies incorporated into the ProFACT™ platform. From 1967 to 1975 while at McGill University and as consultant to Roche Diagnostics, he and colleagues originated the first in vitro blood test for cancer (CEA). His research efforts also have led to other cancer biomarkers, and novel diagnostic detection chemistries. Dr. Krupey received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McGill University.
Kiran Madura, Ph.D.

Dr. Madura is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and inventor of proprietary technology for Ubiquitin and Proteasome bioassays. His laboratory pursues five research projects under two NIH grants. Dr. Madura is author of 31 peer-reviewed publications and is a member of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and the Board of Scientific advisors for the Carcinogenesis Foundation. He is the CEO and founder of Cell Xplore, Inc, and received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Rochester.

Dr. Mascoli is a retired senior pharmaceutical executive from Baxter Healthcare with extensive experience in product development and management.
