Our talk is entitled “Functional Proteomic Prospecting for New Biomarkers” and will be presented on Thursday, 15th December, at 12:00 EST Presentation Abstract It is well-established that functional and conformational variations in proteins figure prominently in cancer. Yet protein biomarker discovery remains centered on sequence annotation. A principal barrier to functional discovery has been the lack of fully developed and commercialized requisite separations and enrichment technologies. The integrated SeraFILE™ platform is a new separations reagent set and exploratory methods used for differential proteomics and molecular profile characterization. It can discriminate parent proteome content at the functional conformation level, and thus it potentially can evaluate drug responsiveness, and prospect for new functional protein biomarkers. The key advantages are that it can: efficiently produce differentiated subproteomes with bioactivity preserved, generate characteristic molecular profiles, enrich functional biomarkers for sequence and structural annotation, and compartmentalize natural source variants for challenge/response with small molecules. |
